John Trudell is a poet, recording artist, actor and speaker whose international following reflects the universal language of his words, work and message. Trudell is the creator of Hempstead Project Heart (Hemp Energies Alternative Resource Technologies) with Willie Nelson. Hempstead Project Heart embodies an attitude about creating awareness of the many uses of hemp as way of establishing a green economy in America.
The Hempstead Project Heart was begun as a means to enlighten and encourage the use of alternative green energy, and to develop an economy built and designed around hemp. Re-establishing the ancestral relationship to hemp as a part of our living reality connects this energy of the past to the energy of the future. The Project encourages those with an interest in the vast uses of hemp to spread that interest around, and to help others use common sense and curiosity to forward this green gift.
